This year has been full of surprises for just about everyone in some good ways and other not so good ways. Dan and I are incredibly thankful to have stayed safe and now expecting the arrival of our baby girl in the next month! We made the tough decision to cancel our baby shower a few weeks back and began extremely limiting exposure with others unless necessary. We miss everyone so much, but we’re putting safety first right now for ourselves and our baby girl.
I decided to sign up for Walmart + last week because they launched a new benefit with the membership: Walmart+ free shipping, no order minimum (excludes oversized, freight & Marketplace items). I was blown away! This is going to be so great for when I need just one or two things from the site during the holiday season, or when I can’t find what I need in our local store, especially since free next-day and two-day shipping options are available!
I also love the free delivery from your store on orders $35+ (restrictions apply) benefit for our grocery shopping! There are many times that I only need a couple things from the store, so this works out perfectly! I know we will also use it a ton once baby girl comes. I feel like I’ll need something every day from the store, and obviously will be very nice to have it delivered to our front door for free at our convenience. It’s a contactless experience, and I know Dan will be grateful for not having to run out constantly to get what we need. It’s a win win!
I signed us up for the entire year, which came down to be right at $2/week for the $98 annual membership fee (based on 52 weeks/year). That combined with Walmart’s everyday low prices is more than worth it. Other benefits that I know we’ll enjoy are the member prices on fuel (members save 5 cents on gas at Walmart & Murphy gas stations as well as member prices at Sam’s Club fuel centers) and mobile scan & go for a contactless checkout experience in store.
