I’m in looovvee with this new DVF top, which I guess is technically a poncho even though the item description doesn’t call it that, but it pretty much fits like that or a caftan. I’m calling it a poncho though. Many people steer away from boxy cuts, but I don’t mind the ‘boxiness’ (is that a word? ha..I don’t think so) because of the hemline. DVF made this top drape perfectly for the most flattering look possible. If you notice how it’s cut longer on the sides and skims the hips, it creates and illusion and makes you look smaller. Love that!
I was also drawn to the color. It’s such a vibrant hot pink and would look great with so many other outfits! I would also pair it back to white denim both ripped and clean denim (non rips) and accent with a turquoise necklace. If I were headed to an outdoor daytime event, I would wear the top with white or denim shorts. Maybe even cutoffs depending on how casual it is.
There you have it, 4 ways to wear this top. Just a side note that you can wear the skirt with the slit on the side or in the front. Worn on the side makes it a little more conservative and worn in the front adds a bit of an edge. Wear it whatever way works for you! I tucked it in to give it a more polished look, but you could also leave it untucked with the skirt.
Fit Tips: The top is generous, you could size down one size in it. The shorts run true to size, even though they’re juniors. The skirt runs true to size also, as well as both of the pumps. Some people size up in the Pigalle and in the Rockstud, but I get my true size. If you’re between sizes or have a wider foot, I would suggest sizing up.
