Our Master Bedroom Renovation

We’ve been renovating our master bedroom for months now and it has finally all come together! It all started because we decided to switch from a queen to a king size bed. We got the mattress quickly and LOVE it! It’s the perfect amount of firmness and softness for us both plus it has cooling technology, which is so nice! We liked it so much that we bought a second one for our guest room. This mattress is on sale big time this weekend–it’s at least $200 off the original price. I highly recommend it! Next, we got a new bed frame. I fell in love with one from Pottery Barn, but it was super expensive, so I finally found this one at a fraction of the price and bought the king size in the ivory talc color. We are both very impressed with the quality! It looks identical to the Pottery Barn one! After that, we needed a larger rug to fit the new bed. I chose this one in 9×12 size. It’s also on major sale 30% off this weekend! After that we noticed the end tables were too large to accomodate the new bed lol! After all that was said and done, I wanted to repaint our dresser because it looked old and dingy with the new colors in our room. We also changed the paint on the walls from Repose Grey to SW Pure White. We tried several different whites to see what looked best with our trim (we don’t know what our trim color is), and SW Pure White looked the best. As far as the sizes go to fit the hurricanes, 6×3 and 7×4 worked great in them. Most of our dresser accessories are 30% off this weekend only!

We chose the color SW Sea Serpent for the dresser and had someone spray it for us. It was A LOT easier than us doing it ourselves. We already had mirrors hanging over our bedside tables, so I knew I didn’t want another mirror over the dresser. We chose 3 of our wedding photos to be framed above the dresser from Framebridge in the size 25 x 36 in this frame style. We LOVE the way it turned out! Our dresser is 76″ long, so I knew that whatever was hung over it needed to be large. Our wedding photos were the perfect fit in that size! If you’re thinking of having anything framed for your home, this weekend is a great time to purchase frames because they’re currently 20% off through tomorrow. Here’s the before picture below. I think we all agree our dresser situation is a major improvement!
